The Languedoc Region

Gruissan

With its large sandy beaches and its back against the “La Clape” massif, Gruissan is an original seaside resort. It is a traditional fishing village where you can find fresh fish everyday. The village nestling around the Barberousse Tower has maintained its exceptional architectural heritage. Its protected natural environment offers a spectacular diversity of landscapes: its preserved lakes, its Mediterranean garrigue with its shrubs and trees so typical of the area.
The north wind makes it cool and pleasant even during the summer time.

Narbonne-Plage

This seaside resort has a typical family character with its 3 km of clean sandy beaches where the land shelves down to the sea and its marina. Narbonne Plage has the highest number of sunlight in France with more than 300 days of sun each day.

Halfway from Gruissan and Narbonne Plage, the Auguades Beach touches the Mateille beach and is part of Gruissan. The shallow sea and the large beaches of fine golden sand make it a nice resort for all the family.

Le Barcarès is located in the Roussillon. It spreads across the 5 distinct entities that go to make up the commune: “Le Village”, “Grande Plage”, “la Couladière”, “Le Lido”, et “Le Port”. Located at the edge of a lake with salty water (the lake of Salses Leucate) and with its splendid panoramic viewpoints of the Pyrénées, this privileged situation gives it the advantage of ensuring a great holiday for its visitors.

This ancient isle is a great seaside resort: 16 kilometers of fine golden sandy beaches. If you are full of energy, you will enjoy the lake of Salses Leucate with salted water, ideal for kite-surfing and other aquatic activities.

At the foot of the “La Clape” massif, the resort of Saint Pierre La Mer will thrill everybody with its nice beaches of golden sand.
Main central point of the resort: the market- one of the biggest market in the Languedoc Roussillon- welcomes a lot of visitors every morning.
A little further, you will find a naturist area on the beach.
