This ancient isle has become an isthmus. It has a remarkable environment: 16 km of fine golden sandy beaches, the shallow lake of Salses-Leucate- ideal for kite-surfing-, and various different landscapes as diverse as they are wild and protected. There is a wide range of sporting and aquatic activities.


Leucate is divided into 3 parts:

  • Leucate village the traditional
    fishing village, guarding traditions
  • Leucate beach
  • “Port Laucate” with its marina
